Samantha Bartlett graduated with a Bachelors in Theatre Literature from Stockton University in the spring of 2012. She was first exposed to working on the potter’s wheel when she was taught to throw by a friend and fell in love with the process when she helped fire the wood kiln at WheatonArts. Samantha continued pursuing ceramics by taking a wheel class at The Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia and various classes at other small studios in the Philadelphia area. Samantha then moved to Fairbanks, Alaska where she had the opportunity to study ceramics at the University of Alaska. There she joined the Student Ceramics Art Guild, learned to fire anagama kilns, and participated in a few small shows including a juried student show and “A Taste of Tea,” a joint show with the Fairbanks Potter’s Guild. Samantha was delighted to start her internship at WheatonArts’ Pottery Studio in September of 2018.
