I am a multimedia artist working with metal, ceramics, oil, wood and acrylic paint. I hold an undergraduate degree in Humanities from Thomas Edison State University, where had a trifold focus on TV/Film, Creative Writing and Performing Arts. I hold a graduate degree in Life Span and Digital Communication from Old Dominion University, for which I wrote a thesis on Media Literacy Definitions. I have worked with ceramics and paints for as long as I can remember. I studied both mediums independent from my academic pursuits throughout my life. Most notably, I studied oil paint under Loran Percy and ceramics at Cedar Crest College. I focused my training on metal, specifically aluminum and iron. In 2015, I started working with Steve Morse, who has mentored me in aluminum. Education, communication, and function lie at the heart of my artistic process. I draw my inspiration from forms I find in the physical world. My work articulates the interconnectedness of science and art, body and mind, flora and fauna to create functional work that inspires curiosity in the viewer. I do so with the goal of facilitating an experiential learning process for the viewer
