John and I both love leather. We are engineers by education and long-time residents of Wilmington, DE who have always been interested as much in form as function. John grew up in a creative home with a father, who as a graphic designer, owned his own advertising company. John has also designed and built our last two homes. We founded Classic Elegance, LLC to create classic yet artistically unique high-quality leather seating, furniture and leather goods.

As a leather furniture design team, we design our own seating and we also patiently source vintage / antique hand-carved seating frames, focusing only on high-quality hardwoods (Rosewood, Mahogany, Walnut, etc), then creatively reimagine them, or restore them to their original splendor using only Full Grain leather, pure wool batting, and occasionally, 23.5-carat gold leaf accents. We indulge fanciful artistic whims depending on how each piece speaks to us. We hope the results demonstrate we are good listeners! We also indulge our fancy with original leather goods creations, cooperatively bringing ideas to life by our own hands in our Wilmington shop, using finest quality Full Grain leather as our medium. From sofas and ottomans, to hand-bound journals, “Steampunk” to traditional, we limit ourselves only in the scope of our imagination. Our instinct is to excel in our craft and imbue each leather creation with uniquely imaginative artistry.
