Professional Development Opportunities for Educators
Fall 2013There is a number of workshops and public programs we find could be an excellent learning experience for educators. Our suggestions for you this fall are as follows:
• You can register for any class or workshop at the special teachers’ discount rate.
• You can participate in any two of the programs featuring Haitian Arts and Culture and receive a professional development certificate: visit to the Haitian Exhibition, attending the Haitian Flag Making presentation, the Veve Workshop and/or the Haitian Music and Dance Concert. For any of your choices you can use the special teachers’ discount.
• You can receive a professional development certificate if you register (free) for a Special tour of our Traditional Arts collection at the Folklife Center and visit the demonstration of the fellows at the Studio Wide Open program.
• You can receive a letter acknowledging your participation when taking a Special Docent Tour at the Museum of American Glass or attend the Gospel Concert (December 14).
