Tangled Web Fiber Creations
Website
The fact that I dabbled in various fiber arts while still working influences my current work. Colors come from experiments in quilting; while interest in light and dark, shapes and patterns are the result of years of playing with paints, drawing and photography. The medium of weaving is out of necessity very abstract. But, the merging of a background in experimentation, playing with color, and interest in pattern reflects in my work; a mixture of abstract and organic to produce both form and function in my pieces.
To this end, my goal is the creation of textiles for yourself and your home in the form of scarves, hand towels, placemats, table runners, etc. They are unique in that I like to experiment with new weave structures and new color ways. The result is a merging of form and function into an array of textiles for use for you and your home.
