Mark Zirpel lives and works in the Seattle area, where he runs ACME Art, a printmaking, photography and sculpture studio.  “Periodicus Fascinatus” his recent show at William Traver Gallery was met with critical acclaim and will be covered in an upcoming issue of Glass magazine.  In this work Zirpel explores the phenomena of time and evidence of its passage.  Zirpel’s work crosses media boundries in its insistence to address meaning.  His current efforts are related to the human body, its organs, function and eventual failure.
