I am a jewelry artist living in the historic and quaint village of Kimberton, PA. My jewelry is made from Argentium sterling silver/sterling silver, fine silver, and rose gold utilizing wire work, chain maille, and metal smith techniques. All of my pieces are handmade from my own designs and I do sometimes incorporate some classic chain weaves such as the byzantine and Persian weaves which create a contemporary classic look. The silver/gold wire I use for my pieces ranges from 12 gauge to 21 gauge. I create all of my own jump rings using mandrels sized from 1.5mm to 12mm. Depending on the design, the rings may be soldered to ensure durability. I have a three step finishing process which includes filing, tumbling, and heating. The heating process allows the Germanium in the Argentium sterling silver to form a layer of tarnish resistance on the piece.
