Jennifer Blazina
Jennifer Blazina received her MFA in printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1996 and her BFA, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Purchase College in 1994. Her work has recently been included in solo exhibitions in New York, Cleveland, Miami, Chicago, Baltimore and Washington D.C. Blazina has also been included in various group shows nationally and internationally. Among her many commissioned works, Blazina just completed a large installation for the California Community Foundation in Los Angeles, which was featured in their 2000-2001 annual report. She was awarded a residency grant at the Millay Colony for the Arts in 2001, the Blue Mountain Center in 2001, the Residency at the Artcenter / South Florida in Miami from 1998-2001 and the 1999 Visiting Artists Grant at Shepherd College, West Virginia. Blazina has been the recipient of the 1998 Regional Italian-American Arts Grant, the 1997 Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artists Grant for Excellence in Sculpture, and the Nancy Graves Fellowship in Sculpture for 2001. Blazina currently heads the Printmaking program at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
