Grace Whiteside
Grace Whiteside received two BFA’s from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017 in Sculpture + Extended Media and Craft/ Material Studies and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Whiteside has exhibited work at venues such as Black Iris Gallery (Richmond, VA), Recess (Brooklyn), Westbeth Gallery (NYC), Present Company (Brooklyn), Established Gallery (Brooklyn) and has been published in the Corning Museum of Glass’s New Glass Review.
Whiteside was also a participating artist in the 2018 Art In Odd Places performance festival along 14th St. (NYC) and has worked in collaboration with the traveling Genderfail Archive Project. In 2019, Whiteside finished their first solo exhibition, Stacy’s Store, at the UrbanGlass’s Agnes Varis Art Center and was a resident at Vermont Studio Center. Whiteside recently completed a solo performance at the Chrysler Museum of Glass in the Fall of 2020.
