Glasstown Partnership 2022
Check out these fabulous glass vessel designs that came from the creative minds of our local 4th-graders!
For over 25 years, WheatonArts has teamed up with local schools for 4th-grade students to learn about glass and safely engage in the glassmaking process through our Glasstown Partnership Program. The students receive a special guided tour of the Museum of American Glass to learn about the history of glass vessels. Each class then gets to work together to design a unique vessel that our Glass Studio artists demonstrate and create for them. Later, the students also receive a t-shirt with silhouettes of their designs together as a keepsake.
This important program enhances learning in the arts, humanities, and science. It also aids in fostering team building and social development skills, independence, and feelings of accomplishment with all participating students.
