Adjunct Assistant Professor Robin Rice teaches in the Liberal Arts and graduate programs of the University of the Arts. She is senior art critic for the Philadelphia City Paper and resident journalist for the Creative Glass Center of America (Millville, NJ). Author of Philadelphia Murals 1970 – 2000, co-author of Challenge VI Roots: Insights & Inspirations in Contemporary Turned Objects, and the award-winning Philadelphia Murals and the Stories They Tell, she also edited and wrote the preface for Lucartha Kohler’s Women Working in Glass.
Robin Rice is a frequent contributor to American Craft, ARTnews, Woman’s Art Journal and numerous other publications. She has completed three Mid-Atlantic Residencies in Art Criticism and was the 2002 International Turning Exchange Photojournalist. She received a second Fellowship in Arts Commentary from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in 2003 and is currently working on a companion volume to Philadelphia Murals, which will be published by Temple University Press.
