Antoine Leperlier was born in Evreux, France and has been working with glass since he learned the technique of pâte de verre from his grandfather, François Décorchemont, in 1968.  He received a degree in Philosophy and Fine Art from the Ecole du Louvre in Paris, France and in 1981 was awarded the Foundation de France award.   In 1994 Antoine Leperlier was recognized as a “Maitre d’Art” (a living national treasure).  He currently lives in Conches en Ouche.
