I am a jewelry artist specializing in creating jewelry using rare and unusual stones and minerals. Being in the trade, let’s say a few years, I have been able to acquire materials from all over the world. Even with the large accumulation, I still look for that stone I have to have.
Each piece is made one at a time. Many are designed as I go. I start with the stone or mineral, which guides me through the process. Some of the stones I use are actually cut by me, which gives me a lot of leeway to create designs. My inspiration for those designs comes from just about everything I see. I love to mix colors and patterns.
I was once told that I have many different styles in my jewelry. My answer was, that is so I don’t get bored. But now that I think about it’s because I am influenced by everything in the world around me.
