I have been creating jewelry from foreign coins since 1975. I hand-carve these coins into wearable art. We rarely think of coins as works of art. Still, by creating negative space in metal, I am able to take foreign coins and sculpture very delicate and beautiful visual artwork – worn mostly as pendants and earrings. My primary tool is a jeweler’s saw (coping saw). I can also work together with individuals to create and develop new ideas from any coin.
