David King, originally from Dayton Ohio, received his BFA in 2006 with a concentration in glass from the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, and is currently a Glass MFA candidate at Tyler School of Art. David was the head technician at Ohio State’s glass and sculpture facilities and has continued his studies in glassmaking at Northlands Center for Creative Glass in Lybstr, Scotland, the Penland School of Crafts in Penland, NC, and the Pilchuck School of Glass in Stanwood, WA. David has been a teaching assistant at Pilchuck School of Glass and Tyler School of Art. David is passionate about the material of glass but uses a variety of media to realize drawings, objects, and installation-based sculpture.
