Creative Glass Fellowship Applications
WheatonArts offers 6-week long Creative Glass Fellowships, available April through November.
This is an exceptional opportunity for artists to utilize one of the finest facilities of the glass medium, known internationally. During their Fellowships, artists join a creative community that offers private studios, stipends, technical assistance, comfortable housing, and institutional support. Glass Studio Rentals
WheatonArts offers qualified glassblowers who are of intermediate ability or better to rent space and large equipment needs in the Glass Studio. All Glass Studio rentals must be booked in advance. To book, please contact the Glass Studio Coordinator at kmurphy@wheatonarts.org or 856.825.6800, ext. 135. First-time renters, please provide a brief history of your glassmaking experience.
- Reheating Chamber rental includes approximately 10 lbs of glass per hour. There will be an $8.00 charge for each additional pound per hour, including moyle and scrap glass. There is a 3-hour minimum for reheating chamber rental, and all usage takes place between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Hot shop rentals include the use of one reheating chamber, clear glass (up to 10 lbs), and pipewarmer. Annealing cycles will be billed by day, prices listed above. Pipes/punties, hand tools, gloves, and paddles are not provided to renters.
- Rentals, where glass volume is an issue, will be priced on an individual basis. Special projects will be considered and priced individually as well.
- Prices are subject to change without notice. All rentals are per hour or per day. Rentals will be scheduled during the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No half-hour portions.
- Renters are expected to allot time for cleaning in their rental space. Failure to clean up during your rental time will result in a $40 cleaning fee. All rental bills must be paid in full upon receipt of the invoice.

More Vendor Opportunities
WheatonArts hosts several smaller events throughout the year, ranging in attendance from 2,000 to 4,000 people. Booth spaces are available to artists to sell and demonstrate their handmade crafts.
ECO Fair: This free, outdoor Family Day event is inspired by natural and artful living, produced in partnership with the Authority of Cumberland County. We invite New Jersey artists and craftspeople to sell their handcrafted items during ECO Fair. We also invite local Nurseries, Garden Clubs, Greenhouses, Farm Products and Produce Merchants, Environmental and Non-Profit Organizations to apply for a booth during the event. Fantasy Faire: WheatonArts partners with Mystic Realms, Ltd.® for this annual outdoor event featuring talented performers bringing to life the “Kingdom of Wheaton” by enacting a series of interconnected shows. Strolling costumed characters portraying historical and mythical figures interact with each other and visitors throughout the campus. We hope you want to participate in this magical and fun weekend! Merchants and vendors selling medieval, fantasy, and renaissance-related items of all kinds are welcome to apply.

Glass Studio Summer Internship
WheatonArts is excited to announce a two-month summer internship in our Glass Studio. Designed for emerging artists pursuing or having recently completed an undergraduate degree in glass, this competitive internship provides professional experience in a museum setting. Interns can be expected to assist with WheatonArts studio production, public classes, and studio technician classes, averaging 25-30 hours per week. Festival of Fine Craft, October 5 & 6, 2024
Held annually during the first full weekend of October
The Festival of Fine Craft, celebrating 25th years in 2024, is our premier annual event and one of the most highly-rated shows in the Mid-Atlantic region. Named one of Sunshine Artist’s 200 Best in 2018, 2019, 2022, & 2023, this campus-wide event continues to grow in attendance (10,000+ visitors annually), programming, and quality overall.
Approximately 150 exhibitors, ranging from new & emerging artists to masters in their mediums, are carefully selected by a jury of WheatonArts professionals and experienced staff artists. We take pride in maintaining an artist-friendly show with a high standard of quality and a balance of mediums, styles, and techniques.
WheatonArts provides convenient day-before setup, overnight security, booth sitters, and unequaled hospitality throughout the show. Lodging at reduced rates is offered to exhibitors at some nearby hotels. Open Studios, craft demonstrations, live music, exceptional food, and a variety of interactive activities add to the excitement, making the festival both entertaining and educational.
Our comprehensive marketing plan includes extensive print, radio, and electronic media campaigns, full-color publicity, and year-long promotion through our other events and outreach programs.
