The ultimate compliment anyone could pay me is “paper nerd.” This versatile material is a haven for those of us that love to get our hands dirty, love to ponder a new paper recipe, love to fold our paper and stitch it into a journal, love to sculpt it into our own new creation, or love to paint or write on unusual hand-made paper. I am trying as many paper works as I can fit into my lifetime. Currently there is paper-making, book-binding, and a bit of book restoration on the paper side. Standing right next to paper, of course, is ink-making, calligraphy and some typography thanks to WheatonArts allowing us to be the very proud custodians of about a cabinet and a half of wooden and metal type from the old Print Shop. Life is good.
