Jennifer Pearson Sarsany is a second-generation stained glass artist and a member of the Stained Glass Association of America. Her love of stained glass started early, as she grew up in a home filled with Tiffany reproductions created by her Father. In 2015, on a whim, she asked her Dad to start teaching her everything he knew about glass art. Her passion for the medium was instantaneous, and she began making pieces for friends and family as gifts. After much practice and honing her craft, she began to take on commissioned work.
Her journey in stained glass has been about paying homage to the past yet finding her own artistic voice piece by piece. The designs are based on things that speak to her. She gravitates toward simple forms, modern geometries, and organic influences. Jennifer utilizes the copper foil method, commonly referred to as the “Tiffany Technique,” and lead came construction in her pieces. All of her work, from small-batch pieces to large-scale residential projects, is designed and handmade in her New Jersey studio.
