WINTER SEASON AT WHEATONARTS BEGINS JANUARY 1, 2022
MILLVILLE, NJ (December 31, 2021) – The Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center campus will be closed to the public during the winter months of January, February, and March. The Museum of American Glass, Folklife Center, and Artist Studios will be closed for exhibition changes, inventory purposes, and repairs during this period. The campus will reopen on Friday, April 1, 2022, when WheatonArts returns to its seasonal operating schedule, open April through December. The Museum Stores will be available online at shop.wheatonarts.org or by scheduled appointment.
During the 2022 winter season, WheatonArts will continue online programs, including the Family Art Workshop video tutorials posted every first and third Tuesday of the month, sponsored by PNC Arts Alive. The virtual Wheaton Conversations series returns on Thursday, January 13, with artists Kait Rhoads and Jen Elek, and January 27 with Dan Dailey and Richard Royal. Registration is free for these live discussions, and links to both are on the WheatonArts website. Past episodes of the Wheaton Conversations series and Family Art Workshops are available on the WheatonArts YouTube channel.
Dedicated to the mission of engaging artists and audiences in an evolving exploration of creativity, WheatonArts is proud to partner with the New Jersey Theater Alliance’s Stages Festival and the Pushcart Players to offer a free afternoon of performing arts. On Saturday, March 5, the Pushcart Players will perform a free play production of Stone Soup and Other Stories. The Stages Festival is the state’s largest annual theatre festival, offering discounted and free theatre performances, workshops, and events for all ages. Winter hours at WheatonArts run January through March, with the entire campus closed to the public. WheatonArts is open April through December; days and hours may vary.
