David King is a visual artist who works with glass, found materials, glue, and gumption. King earned an MFA from Tyler School of Art and has a BFA from the Ohio State University. He makes objects, installations, and drawings that address the transiency of perception. King is a founding member of the artist collective, Flock the Optic, who combines glassblowing with interactive installations, sound manipulation, and relational interventions. He has taught at several academic institutions and craft workshops and is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at Centre College in Danville, KY.
David Schnuckel is an artist whose work extends from a committed relationship with glass and whose ideas dwell at the intersection of control and chance. His work exhibits internationally and belongs in the permanent collections of the GlazenHuis in Lommel, Belgium, Glasmuseet Ebeltoft of Ebeltoft, Denmark, and the Shanghai Museum of Glass in Shanghai, China. Schnuckel has taught at Alfred University, the Toyama City Institute of Glass Art, China Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Craft, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass. As a writer, he examines aspects of his making and teaching practice at a blog called David Schnuckel Uses His Words and is a regular contributor to GASnews, the newsletter of the Glass Art Society. Schnuckel is Assistant Professor of Glass in the School for American Crafts at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.
