Intrigued by natural fibers I have been knitting and weaving most of my life. And after moving to Woodstock, New York and connecting to a simpler life, the work has taken a reflective face. Mountains, Streams, and Trees influence the simple but beautiful blankets pillows and rugs. Light playing thru a forest gives way to shawls and scarves. Local sheep farms supply natural wool that brings warmth. Nature supplies dyes used to complete the connection to mother earth.
The simple life has also given me cause for recycling textiles no longer loved into beautiful Rag Rugs. Created on a 1920’s Union loom built for the sole purpose of supplying extra income to a family. The craft of the weaver continues. No two pieces are the same, all are created with joy and peace.
