Kim attended Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with a BFA in Ceramics. Moving to California after college to work in the film and television industry. She attended The Makeup Designory and later worked as an assistant to award-winning special effects makeup artist Kevin Haney. Eventually leaving her beloved special effects position. She began looking for something new and interesting, she answered an advertisement for an apprentice in a flameworking shop. Alas, Kim had found her new adventure! Kim has been flameworking for 9 years. She is a prolific and dedicated artist. She also works as a professor of glassblowing at Salem Community College and teaches in studios throughout the United States.
