Our soaps are made from scratch using wholesome food-grade ingredients. Soap, by definition is made by mixing fats and lye (sodium hydroxide). For most of our soaps, we use a blend of plant based oils each of which provides its own qualities to the finished bar of soap. Coconut oil helps to produce copious bubbles and has a high cleansing power, sustainable palm oil contributes to the hardness of the bar and also stabilizes the lather, and olive oil creates an exceptionally mild and creamy lather.

Our soaps are made using the cold process method, which is a more traditional soap making process. It is called cold process because no additional heat is added after the fats and lye are mixed together. We thoroughly mix the fats and lye with a stick blender until it starts to thicken, and then we pour the soap batter into a mold to let it harden overnight at room temperature. After that we take the loaf of soap, and cut it into bars and place them on a rack to cure for at least 6 weeks. This results in a long lasting bar of soap. Once the soap is fully cured, we cut the corners off of the bars so they don’t have any sharp edges and feel better in your hands for the first few uses. Next, we put them in boxes and apply labels before they are ready to sell.
