We invite you to find solace and inspiration at WheatonArts! We are open April through December, Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Millville, New Jersey. An admission ticket is needed to visit the Museum of American Glass, Down Jersey Folklife Center, and the Artist Studios. The Grounds and the Museum Stores remain walk-in (non-ticket) accessible for those coming exclusively to shop or stroll on non-event days.
To help ensure our staff and guests’ safety, all public surfaces will be cleaned regularly throughout the day, following CDC cleaning guidelines. We encourage guests and members to reserve and/or purchase tickets online and to wear a mask while indoors. Please use the ticket button below to make your purchase. You may also purchase tickets in person at the front gate upon arrival. Hand sanitizer dispensers are positioned throughout the campus; please use them frequently.
Please note that we are closed to the public on the following major holidays: Sunday, March 31 (Easter Sunday), Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, December 25 (Christmas Day), and New Year’s Day.

In the Museum of American Glass:
Centuries of Tomfoolery
Through the centuries, glassmakers have skillfully crafted vessels, pipes, and whimsical objects for communal entertainment. Whether intricately designed or deceptively simple, they prompt us to reflect on evolving cultural mores and society’s sense of humor at specific points in time. Come explore a fascinating group of objects through the lens of working artists compelled to recreate clever glassblowing feats from the past or push the boundaries of contemporary functional art. In the Down Jersey Folklife Center:
Ceremonies in Circles
Explore traditional masks, garments, and objects related to special rituals and community celebrations of West African cultures. Most featured artworks were created by artists in our region, with others acquired from private collections. The exhibit provides insights into the West African traditions of masquerade as well as artistic interpretations of old wisdom and new meanings, with unique visualizations of universal human values, joys, fears, and hopes. Glassmaking Demonstrations
Join us in the Glass Studio to feel the heat and be amazed as artists transform hot, molten glass into beautiful works of art! Meet and greet our team of glass artists as they demonstrate creative glassmaking techniques throughout the day! Demonstrations change daily, from glassblowing to mold pouring. Inspired by the original 1888 T.C. Wheaton Glass Factory, the building holds much of the essence and history of glassmaking in South Jersey and is considered the “heartbeat” of WheatonArts. Experience the Creative Process
WheatonArts is where imagination and artistic process meet for a wonderful arts experience for all ages. Immerse yourself in creativity by watching highly-skilled artists employ century-old techniques to create colorful works of art! Watch fascinating artist demonstrations in the Pottery Studio and Flameworking Studio, and meet informally with the resident artists. Nature Trail:
Walk the Nature Trail
Enjoy a one-mile looping Nature Trail that runs through our 45-acre campus, developed in partnership with CU Maurice River. Learn about the region’s natural areas and wildlife, along with tips on how to preserve the environment while walking along the Nature Trail.
